A sculpture has been designed to celebrate Mont Albert Primary School's Centenary this year.
The sculpture will include ceramic artwork contributions from each student in the school.
The sculpture has been inspired by some designs put forward by students in 2016 and the school values plant design.
It will also be able to be used as a seat!
The sculpture will be planted into a concrete slab and built with metal armature and cement fondue.
Then the ceramic artwork (thousands of pieces) will be glued onto the surface like a mosaic and grouted.
It celebrates the 100 year history of the school as well as the current values and the current staff and students through their participation in making the artwork.
(The City of Whitehorse Artist in Residence Program
have contributed some funding towards the project.)
